Project Play: The Dining Room

Calling all actors and aspiring directors to the table! In The Dining Room, a single dining room becomes the setting for dozens of fast-moving, funny, heartfelt, and sometimes wildly awkward moments from families across generations. From sibling showdowns to disastrous dinner parties to childhood grammar battles, each vignette is its own mini-play — which means tons of roles, tons of variety, and no two scenes alike.

This production is built for collaboration: Audition and be cast in multiple scenes! Wanna try directing? Aspiring directors will be selected to direct individual vignettes. Everyone helps shape the storytelling. It's character-driven, ensemble-focused, and full of humor and heart. So pull up a chair. The table is set.

Rehearsals:
Sunday, July 5, 4-6pm Virtual Cast Meeting and Read Through via Zoom
Monday -Thursday, July 6-9 - 9am-3pm
Friday, July 10, 9am-noon <> return for Tech Run 3-6pm

1 Performance:
Saturday, July 11 @ 2pm

Director: TBD

A production fee of $325 will be added to the student's CYT Family Account if they are cast.
Actors ages 18-24 will be required to complete a limited background check for $15 as well as a child safety training video (certificate is under $10).
