Description

In this voice class, students will improve their harmonizing skills building rich, ringing chords and learning more advanced  vocal arrangements, offering a unique blend of close harmony, precision, and musical storytelling. This class will challenge vocalists to refine their ear, develop the ability to sing more complex parts and master the art of blend and balance. We’ll work on dynamic phrasing and articulation while enhancing the ability to sing with clarity and emotion. The class will include both group and solo practice, helping each singer develop their vocal technique while fostering strong ensemble skills.

Note* Participants in this class must be able to match pitch consistently.  Please choose a different class option if singing on pitch consistently is a skill you are working on.

CLASSES/CAMPS REFUND POLICY-
ATTENDANCE: please make every effort to attend ALL classes.  Students missing more than two classes are in jeopardy of not performing at showcase and attendance may affect their role in a show, if they are currently cast in a show.

NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND OR CHANGES 2 weeks before the first day camp/class begins. Prior to 2 weeks a $25.00 cancellation fee per class is applied to refunds. Refunds are returned to the original form of payment. Camp/class changes are subject to availability. Tuition must be paid in full in order to register online for camp/class.

Thais Doyle

Thais Doyle is a native Californian and was raised in the Bay Area. She graduated from San Jose State University with a B.A. in Music Performance and Music Education with an emphasis in voice, piano and choral music. She went on to receive her Masters degree from Hope University in Southern California in Worship Ministry administration and leadership. Thais has spent almost forty years working in churches as a Worship Arts Pastor; teaching piano and voice lessons and working with bands and choirs of all ages in church, school and theater settings. Thais joined the teaching and directing staff at CYT in 2021 and has since been honored to teach, direct and be a part of the amazing CYT Family!
