Description

Expand your vocal capabilities and immerse yourself into the world of classic literature through musicals based on books!  In this voice class, you’ll learn how to transition smoothly between the registers of your voice.  You’ll be challenged with harmonies, learn blending skills, and how to use lyrics and melody to story tell through song.  You’ll expand your repertoire and your skills as you sing your favorite literature-based songs from shows like Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Little Women and The Scarlet Pimpernel.

CLASSES/CAMPS REFUND POLICY-
ATTENDANCE: please make every effort to attend ALL classes.  Students missing more than two classes are in jeopardy of not performing at showcase and attendance may affect their role in a show, if they are currently cast in a show.

NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND OR CHANGES 2 weeks before the first day camp/class begins. Prior to 2 weeks a $25.00 cancellation fee per class is applied to refunds. Refunds are returned to the original form of payment. Camp/class changes are subject to availability. Tuition must be paid in full in order to register online for camp/class.

Thais Doyle

Thais Doyle is a native Californian and was raised in the Bay Area. She graduated from San Jose State University with a B.A. in Music Performance and Music Education with an emphasis in voice, piano and choral music. She went on to receive her Masters degree from Hope University in Southern California in Worship Ministry administration and leadership. Thais has spent almost forty years working in churches as a Worship Arts Pastor; teaching piano and voice lessons and working with bands and choirs of all ages in church, school and theater settings. Thais joined the teaching and directing staff at CYT in 2021 and has since been honored to teach, direct and be a part of the amazing CYT Family!
