APEX stands for Advanced Performer Exhibition and provides training to local students that culminates in a national adjudication and competition experience with fellow talented CYT students from across the Country.
The APEX Improv Team will participate in preliminary competitions showcasing their work as individual and team improvisers. The top 3 teams from CYT’s across the nation will compete for the winning title during the Final APEX Exhibition at EXPO.  In addition to the TEAM, up to 4 students will be chosen to be in the CLASS to continue their Improv training and contribute to the continuity of training for future competitive teams. Students selected for TEAM commit to attending the CYT EXPO in Dallas, July 21-24, 2024 for the APEX EXPO Competition.  Those in CLASS are encouraged but not required to attend EXPO on the Student Track, where they will be able to further develop Improv skills, attend theater workshops and have a BLAST at EXPO!
