Description

This class blends jazz technique with contemporary musical theater choreography plus street-style movement to create a dynamic class that is both challenging and fun.  Students will exercise a strong foundation in jazz while exploring the bold, expressive movement styles seen in today's Broadway productions. From sharp, high-energy combinations to smooth, grounded choreography, dancers will develop coordination, musicality, confidence, and performance quality. Whether you're preparing for auditions, looking to strengthen your dance skills, or simply love to perform, this class will help you become a more versatile musical theater performer. Come ready to move, sweat, and bring your personality to every combination!

ATTENDANCE: please make every effort to attend ALL classes.  Students missing more than two classes are in jeopardy of not performing at showcase and attendance may affect their role in a show, if they are currently cast in a show.

CLASSES/CAMPS REFUND POLICY-
NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND OR CHANGES 2 weeks before the first day camp/class begins. Prior to 2 weeks a $25.00 cancellation fee per class is applied to refunds. Refunds are returned to the original form of payment. Camp/class changes are subject to availability. Tuition must be paid in full in order to register online for camp/class.

Wesley Schofield

Wesley has been dancing since he was nine years old. He now enjoys teaching and creating choreography. His specialty is Hip-Hop and has competed in many competitions throughout California and the west coast for 3 years while training under a variety of excellent choreographers. Wesley is a CYT alumni and has participated in 19 CYT shows. He has been blessed by the CYT organization in countless ways. Wesley is excited to teach his first CYT class! He is looking forward to getting to know all of his students and hopes everyone will have a great time learning the exciting dance style of Hip Hop!
