Teacher:

Samuel Quinzon

Sam Quinzon is a certified actor combatant for the Society of American Fight Directors, holding certifications in unarmed, rapier & dagger, broadsword, sword & shield, knife, and firearms. He loves spreading the art form in any shape he can and is very passionate about passing on his knowledge to the next generation. Originally receiving a BA in psychology from Jessup University, he eventually found that bringing stories to life on stage was a stronger passion, and so decided to dive in head first. He has worked as an actor, fight director, and instructor at Jessup University, Sacramento Theatre Company, Americana Theatre Company, and, most recently, at the Great American Melodrama, where he also served as an MC for their Christmas show. Out of the numerous shows that he has done, the most influential would have to be Treasure Island, his first ever stage combat show, which in his words, "the first time someone let me swing a sword around on stage without getting in trouble!" Currently he is serving as the adjunct professor for stage combat at Jessup University and is involved in their production of Shakespeare's Henry V.
