Description

Come join us for a fabulous and fun class where you will learn basic acting techniques, theater terminology, and the art of acting “out” to the audience for musical theater! You will learn how to create a dimensional character through character development exercises, creative movement, theater games, imagination building, improvisation and more!  Learn to use your body, voice, facial expressions, and even your brain to grow your acting skills. Whether you are a beginner or a more seasoned actor, this class will help you grow your acting skills!

Showcase Monday October 12th

ATTENDANCE: please make every effort to attend ALL classes.  Students missing more than two classes are in jeopardy of not performing at showcase and attendance may affect their role in a show, if they are currently cast in a show.

CLASSES/CAMPS REFUND POLICY-
NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND OR CHANGES 2 weeks before the first day camp/class begins. Prior to 2 weeks a $25.00 cancellation fee per class is applied to refunds. Refunds are returned to the original form of payment. Camp/class changes are subject to availability. Tuition must be paid in full in order to register online for camp/class.

Zane Hall

Zane Hall is a CYT Alumni who has been a part of various shows such as Godspell, Newsies, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and more! He is currently in his sophomore year at American River College majoring in elementary education, and is continuing his hobby of theatre by participating in shows at community theaters in the Sacramento area. Some of his favorite things include baseball (Go A’s), Phineas and Ferb, and family game nights. He has worked and volunteered at his church with the children’s ministry for the past 4 years fulfilling his passion for teaching and telling young people about Jesus.

Alison Hall

Alison had been a dancer from kindergarten through college. She has learned many different styles of dance including tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. She went on to be a gymnastics coach at Tricks for a few years. Most recently, Alison has received a MA in Special Education Teaching and is working as a special education teacher at an elementary school in the San Juan Unified School District. She is excited for this opportunity to work at CYT.
