Class Description

Have you seen a show and wondered where all those costumes came from? Take this class and find out! Learn everything from period research, to catching the director’s vision, elements of design, costume construction from scratch vs. creating costumes from ready-made clothing, basic sewing and alterations, and more!  Participants in this course will help construct specific costume pieces for CYT’s Spring production of Honk Jr!

Kindy McCullough

Kindy was born to create! As long as she can remember, she has been fabricating dolls, clothes for her dolls, costumes and more. At eleven, she received her first sewing machine for Christmas and has been sewing ever since. Kindy worked for over a decade in youth programs and summer camps. She has her degree in Recreation Administration and studied business at San Jose State Graduate School of Business. Kindy’s passion has always been costumes and is thrilled to be able to showcase and share her talents.
