Teacher:

McKenna Barry

McKenna is a sophomore at William Jessup University earning her degree in Theatre with a Musical Theatre concentration. She has been dancing since age three, starting with ballet. Since then, her dance repertoire has grown and now includes ballet, jazz, hip hop, swing dance, country dance, tap, acro, tango, waltz, salsa, musical theatre dance, contemporary, lyrical, and contortion. In addition to her dance training, McKenna found a love for theatre and music. In high school, she was a part of the Chamber Choir, Thunder Choir--the all-group choir, and was a section leader in the ladies' Concert Choir at Rocklin High School. Throughout high school, McKenna was also involved in various productions at CYT, her favorite being Tuck Everlasting. McKenna loves to choreograph. She worked as a dance teacher for two years at Royal Stage Performing Arts. At William Jessup, McKenna is actively involved with the theatre department. She has assistant choreographed three shows and has performed in five since starting there. When she's not doing anything theatre related, which isn't often, McKenna loves to read, paint, do archery, belt out some country music, and talk to her long-distance beau who is in the military. McKenna's favorite animal is a hippo, her favorite color is dark blue, she loves peach tea, and she has a large collection of socks with cute animals on them.
