Class Description

Some of the best music is found in small cast musicals.  At CYT, we mostly cast BIG shows, so here’s your chance to improve your voice while singing songs from tiny shows, like The Fantasticks, Daddy Long Legs, Little Women, Forever Plaid, I Do, I Do, Next to Normal, She Loves Me, Frog and Toad. Strengthen your sight reading and music theory skills, vocal technique, and musicianship as you learn solo work and small group arrangements. This class will cover breathing and support, health management for different singing styles (i.e., belt, mix, etc.), as well as focusing on performance techniques to better utilize your voice to communicate stories through lyrics.
