A proud member of the Screen Actors Guild and Actors’ Equity Association, Wendy’s love for the theater was sparked when she first took to the stage as one of the original students in the founding years of CYT San Diego. She co-founded CYT Sacramento in 2012 and has enjoyed directing, music directing, teaching classes and choreographing in CYT’s Roseville and Auburn Chapters.
Beyond CYT, Wendy studied at the University of New Mexico, where she earned a degree in Music with an emphasis in voice. After gaining experience in dinner theater, cabaret, musical theater and opera, Wendy returned to Southern California and went on to play lead and supporting roles in theater, television, and film. Some highlights of Wendy's career include roles in the Hallmark Movie, Santa Jr., the world premiere of Current Nobody at the La Jolla Playhouse, Alice in Alice in Modernland at Sledgehammer Theater and Christine in The Phantom in Concert, at the Santa Fe Music Hall. She starred in the one woman show, Marilyn...Sleepless Nights, playing Marilyn Monroe, at the American Theater in Kansas City. She has also worked as a principal actor in a number of national, regional, and local commercials. As a violinist, Wendy played for I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change for productions at San Diego Repertory Theatre and Starlight, and also for several productions of A Christmas Carol at The Rep.
Wendy moved to the Sacramento area in 2010 and is excited to bring her love of the stage and passion for developing character to a new generation of aspiring actors.
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Katie has been participating in the arts all of her life. Katie has a BA in Music, vocal performance from California Polytechnic State University. After graduation, Katie became a technical intern at California Musical Theatre's Music Circus for their 2011 season. There she worked for both the music production team, and wardrobe and fell truly head over heels for professional musical theatre. In 2012 Katie moved to southern California where she performed in numerous styles and performing venues such as Disney's California Adventures and Knott's Berry Farm, among others. Katie has taught voice, piano and music theory for several years, and has music directed several musical theatre productions. Katie moved back up to northern California late last year to be closer to extended family. She is loving life with her husband (Eric), daughters (Ellie & Addie) and 2 dogs, and pursuing life as a performer and teacher of the arts. Soli Deo Gloria.

CYT alumni, Tanner Nolan Coppernoll, is ecstatic to fulfill a position in teaching students of all ages his knowledge of the arts. Called to be a pastor from the Lord, he feels as if he is receiving a head start in beginning his ministry when working at CYT. Tanner has done eight major performances in his life. Pertaining to those performances, his favorite roles have been Tommy Djlas (CYT’s “Music Man”), Perchik (CYT’s “Fiddler on the Roof”), and Johnathan Northbrook (CYT’s “Mary Poppins Jr.”). Tanner has always been involved with visual arts, singing, and some times dancing (in his home kitchen, that is). High school sparked the interest of the arts in Tanner’s life. It was there where he would take on two years of drama and choir classes, speech, two years of yearbook, and six musicals. In his second year at Sierra College, majoring in Photography has blessed him with many opportunities to take arts classes (such as: Poetry, History of Music, History of Theatre, and Photography). He now successfully owns his very own business, “Vision Photography”, displaying the love of Christ through the gift of visual arts God blessed him with. Alongside his business, God has placed him in the ministry where he fulfills the position of a high school counselor at First Baptist Church of Auburn (where he runs the social media, leads bible studies, and does worship). Tanner plans to focus on the character of students' hearts, teach visual concepts in a unique way, and how that interconnects with theatre and art as a whole. His concept of teaching will always be Christ-centered and wants to glorify Him through all of the classes he teaches.
