*Two groups will be selected at the discretion of the coaches after the first week of class. Alex Keyes and Andrew Hall will be coaching “Mission Improvable.” Austin Nunn along with Kaytlin McIntosh will be coaching “Impractical Jokers.” Acting without a script? That’s Improv! This class teaches CORE improvisational skills as students learn how to think on their feet! Students will learn to create scenes, characters, and conflict in a matter of seconds as they master the rules and games of improv.
CLASSES/CAMPS REFUND POLICY-
NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND OR CHANGES 2 weeks before the first day camp/class begins. Prior to 2 weeks a $25.00 cancellation fee per class is applied to refunds. Refunds are returned to the original form of payment. Camp/class changes are subject to availability. Tuition must be paid in full in order to register online for camp/class.
Andrew Hall is a CYT alumni getting his start with CYT and theatre back in 2016. Since then he has been a part of 9 shows at CYT, and various shows elsewhere. Some of his favorite CYT shows include Les Miserables, Peter Pan, Tuck Everlasting, and Godpsell. Andrew had been a part of CYT Sacramento's competing improv teams for 3 years in a row. He is now currently studying to become an actor at American River College. He is grateful for the opportunity to come back to CYT and share what he loves with others.
Austin Mark Nunn loves being a part of the CYT Sacramento family. He graduated with his BA in Performance and Directing from Vanguard University of Southern California. A few of Austin’s favorite productions as the director and/or choreographer include, Peter Pan, Kiss Me Kate, Metamorphosis, Dancing at Lughnasa, and The Addams Family.
Austin is the resident choreographer for Reality Youth show choir which has performed all over the United States. Austin has performed professionally throughout Southern California and in the greater Sacramento area. Favorite roles include the Baker in Into the Woods, Uncle Fester in The Addams Family, Elton John in The Beat Goes On (a role he originated) Joe Cable in South Pacific and Captain Phoebus de Martin in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. For his performance of First Gangster in Kiss Me Kate, Austin was nominated for the Irene Ryan Outstanding Performance Award by the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. He is grateful for the opportunity to share his love for the arts with the students at CYT Sacramento and looks forward to all that God has in store.
Alex is a student at American River College pursuing a degree in theatre arts. Alex is a CYT alumni and is thrilled to be back as a teacher! Working with kids has always been a source of joy throughout her life as she has grown up volunteering in nurseries at church and surrounded by a small army of cousins.
Alex has loved theatre since she was 8 years old, and has since performed with a myriad of companies from her hometown of Auburn and in the greater Sacramento area. Alex spent two years on the CYT improv team and has now ventured out into the improv community at American River College. She is so pleased to share her love of improv and be immersed in the CYT community once again to share the wonders of Yes, and!
Kaytlin McIntosh is so excited for the opportunity to be a part of the CYT Sacramento family as an instructor. She began taking American Sign Language classes in 2011 at Sierra College. This was where she fell in love with Deaf culture and sparked her passion for the Deaf community. After finishing Sierra College, she transferred to California State University Northridge, where she graduated with her BA in Deaf Studies in 2017. Currently Kaytlin works as a teacher's aid in an elementary school classroom with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Kaytlin was added to the CYT Sacramento family for the 2018-2019 season when she had the opportunity to stage manage Dear Edwina, Jr. She is delighted to both teach and stage manage this season with CYT Sacramento and see what God has for this season.
