Classes include warm-ups, group activities, dance routines, theater games, singing songs, costume play and crafts. The session culminates with an original mini-musical “There’s No Place Like Munchkinland” which celebrates the magic of childhood and includes songs like Bigger Isn’t Better, Little People, The Lullaby League/Lollipop Guild, and Never Grow Up.  NOTE: This age group is not eligible to audition for the session production.

Teacher:

Staci Potter

Staci Potter has worked with kids her entire life; from preschools to Sunday schools she has a passion for seeing kids learn. She graduated with a BA from San Jose State in 2017 and moved back to the area soon after. Since moving back she has been part of the arts ministry at First Baptist Church where she has used her skills in many productions through set design, prop making, and teaching. After volunteering at and seeing many productions, she knew she wanted to join the CYT staff and was thrilled when the opportunity arose.

Teacher:

Bianca Christiansen

Bianca, a CYT Sacramento alumni, is currently a student at William Jessup University majoring in Musical Theater and Graphic Design. She performed in thirteen CYT productions and several other productions outside of CYT. Some of her favorite roles include Marian Paroo in Music Man, Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof, Olive in 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee and most recently Martha, a bride, in 7 Brides for 7 Brothers at William Jessup University. Bianca is also part of the UCO choir at William Jessup University and is part of the worship team at her church. She is passionate about her relationship with Christ and would like to bring that passion to the performing arts community some day. She loves CYT and the family she has built there. She is excited about giving back where she discovered her love of the performing arts.
