MONDAY NIGHT LIVE!  - Jeanette Hall
Students learn new skills, gain confidence and explore comedic timing by staging their very own variety show! Make new friends while working together on sketches and skits.

STEP IN TIME  - Wendy Hoover 
From the Charleston to the Moonwalk to the Nae Nae, dance crazes from the past are still used in modern choreography!  Have a blast learning favorite moves from past decades while weaving them together to create something that’s brand new again!

CAROLING CAROLING NOW WE GO - Thais Doyle
The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!  In this workshop we’ll get musically merry as we review the principles of beautiful and healthful singing.  It’s the most wonderful time to sing some of the most wonderful Christmas carols ever written!

WHAT'S MY LINE? - Alex Keyes 
In this workshop students will learn the CORE rules of Improv using a variety of Improv games to practice the art of thinking on their feet! Create scenes, characters, and conflict in a matter of moments. 

PROP TIL YOU DROP - Gillian and Andrea Smit 
Get your hands dirty in this hands-on workshop. Learn the fundamentals of creating theatrical props using everyday objects, recyclable materials, craft supplies and your imagination.  

CLASSES/CAMPS REFUND POLICY-
NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND OR CHANGES 2 weeks before the first day camp/class begins. Prior to 2 weeks a $25.00 cancellation fee per class is applied to refunds. Refunds are returned to the original form of payment. Camp/class changes are subject to availability. Tuition must be paid in full in order to register online for camp/class.

Jeanette Hall

Jeanette Hall has been a CYT Mom since 2016. She has been on many different parent teams and driven countless miles to and from rehearsals and performances. With a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from CSUS and a teaching credential from Simpson University, God has led her to join the Teaching Staff at CYT. Jeanette has performed in many musicals over the years both at CSUS and in the community. Some of her favorite roles include Newsboy in Working, Elsie Darling in Very Good Eddie, and Peter in Peter Pan. She currently works for a local construction company in Labor Compliance. CYT gives her the opportunity to use her education and experience to help students learn to glorify God through the arts.

Wendy Hoover

Wendy Hoover has worked professionally as a singer, actor, and violinist for more than 20 years. A proud member of the Screen Actors Guild and Actors’ Equity Association, Wendy’s love for the theater was sparked when she first took to the stage as one of the original students in the founding years of CYT San Diego. She co-founded CYT Sacramento in 2012 and has enjoyed directing, music directing, teaching classes and choreographing in CYT’s Roseville and Auburn Chapters. Beyond CYT, Wendy studied at the University of New Mexico, where she earned a degree in Music with an emphasis in voice. After gaining experience in dinner theater, cabaret, musical theater and opera, Wendy returned to Southern California and went on to play lead and supporting roles in theater, television, and film. Some highlights of Wendy's career include roles in the Hallmark Movie, Santa Jr., the world premiere of Current Nobody at the La Jolla Playhouse, Alice in Alice in Modernland at Sledgehammer Theater and Christine in The Phantom in Concert, at the Santa Fe Music Hall. She starred in the one woman show, Marilyn...Sleepless Nights, playing Marilyn Monroe, at the American Theater in Kansas City. She has also worked as a principal actor in a number of national, regional, and local commercials. As a violinist, Wendy played for I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change for productions at San Diego Repertory Theatre and Starlight, and also for several productions of A Christmas Carol at The Rep. Wendy moved to the Sacramento area in 2010 and is excited to bring her love of the stage and passion for developing character to a new generation of aspiring actors.

Thais Doyle

Thais Doyle is a native Californian and was raised in the Bay Area. She graduated from San Jose State University with a B.A. in Music Performance and Music Education with an emphasis in voice, piano and choral music. She went on to receive her Masters degree from Hope University in Southern California in Worship Ministry administration and leadership. Thais has spent almost thirty years teaching piano and voice lessons and working with bands and choirs of all ages in church, school and theater settings. She is currently serving as a Worship Arts Director at First Baptist Church in Fairfield, CA. Thais has most recently served on the board of directors for Tracy Repertory Theater and had the privilege of serving as the musical and vocal director for their 2014 to 2020 seasons. Thais is excited to join the teaching and directing staff at CYT.

Alex Keyes

Alex is a student at American River College pursuing a degree in theatre arts. Alex is a CYT alumni and is thrilled to be back as a teacher! Working with kids has always been a source of joy throughout her life as she has grown up volunteering in nurseries at church and surrounded by a small army of cousins. Alex has loved theatre since she was 8 years old, and has since performed with a myriad of companies from her hometown of Auburn and in the greater Sacramento area. Alex spent two years on the CYT improv team and has now ventured out into the improv community at American River College. She is so pleased to share her love of improv and be immersed in the CYT community once again to share the wonders of Yes, and!

Andrea Smit

Andrea Smit brings to CYT her years of experience as an event planner, set dresser, set designer, and props master. While getting her BA in Interior Design, she interned with CBS studios working on the sets of television shows and commercials. During the years she spent with the Foothills Theatre Company, she worked in various positions as a set dresser, set designer, props master, and assisted with costume design. She is currently the Props Committee Chair for CYT Sacramento’s Roseville productions. Her two biggest passions are creativity and kids, and she feels so blessed to have the opportunity to share her experience with the students at CYT.
