Can’t stop singing and want to learn more about your voice? Then this class is GOLDEN! Improve your vocal technique as you study the most singable songs from “The Golden Age” of the American Musical theater. Build confidence as you learn to prepare and deliver songs while gaining the important skill of stage presence. Techniques covered will include breath control, proper posture, diction, articulation, tone, blending harmony as well as basic tips for vocal health. Our showcase presentation may include songs from classic musicals such as Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma, and The Music Man.
CLASSES/CAMPS REFUND POLICY-
NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND OR CHANGES 2 weeks before the first day camp/class begins. Prior to 2 weeks a $25.00 cancellation fee per class is applied to refunds. Refunds are returned to the original form of payment. Camp/class changes are subject to availability. Tuition must be paid in full in order to register online for camp/class.
Thais Doyle is a native Californian and was raised in the Bay Area. She graduated from San Jose State University with a B.A. in Music Performance and Music Education with an emphasis in voice, piano and choral music. She went on to receive her Masters degree from Hope University in Southern California in Worship Ministry administration and leadership.
Thais has spent almost thirty years teaching piano and voice lessons and working with bands and choirs of all ages in church, school and theater settings. She is currently serving as a Worship Arts Director at First Baptist Church in Fairfield, CA. Thais has most recently served on the board of directors for Tracy Repertory Theater and had the privilege of serving as the musical and vocal director for their 2014 to 2020 seasons. Thais is excited to join the teaching and directing staff at CYT.
